Hello from Perthshire
Hi All!
Just purchased my 1st "Big Bike" and what a bike to buy!!!
A 97' (R reg) VTR 1000 Firestorm in yellow (See avatar) This is my 1st step up from a 125 and man am I impressed. The torque, the acceleration and above all.....the noise! You can't beat the sound of a V-Twin and those twin Devils really make it sound awesome!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to learning from you all and reading up on many of the stories/information within these forums.

Hello and welcome
Wow that's a big increase in CC! What was your old 125?
Make sure you read through this thread http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=31345
Pay extra attention to the Cam Chain Tensioner (cct) and Regulator/Rectifier (R/R) information.
Stick a few picks up for us to ogle over too!

Hi there & welcome

Re: Hello from Perthshire
welcome to the club tam
have a look in the runs section and you will see that I am trying to get a few of the lads to have a ride up / down to SW scotland again this year. still a bit of a trek down from Perth, but Grumpyfrog is coming down from that area, so you can hook up with him if you fancy a ride out with some other storm owners [and ex owners]
