Your garage needs to be changed to one that can measure things properly.

41mm may be the stanchion size on both, but as these are USD they won't fit your yokes, wheel, mudguard, brake calipers etc.
The conversion can be done, but it's hardly a straight swap.
name and shame, please, so that other folks can avoid these idiots.
:whatever
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

The 954 front needs the yokes, wheel, forks, mudguard, discs & calipers. The bottom yoke needs the lockstops reprofiled and the rads need brackets to move them back about 10mm. There's a good few posts on here from various folk who have done the mod. I like mine!

Some have fit R1 forks onto the VTR int he past. I recall one German fellow who was a member of the Superhawkforum who did so..... Not sure how involved it is, however.......

You could always fit cbr600 f4i calipers and master cylinder. These give a big improvement.

My track bike has 1998 cbr900rr forks on you need the top and bottom yolks and to machine two spacers for the discs so they fit i have all so put
stiffer springs in as i found the forks sag a little to much.
1998 black vtr (mods cbr900 fork conversion, ohlins rear shock, ohlins steering damper, prolite discs brembo master cylinder, goodridge braided lines, harris rear sets, Quick shifter,Mario Fairing, etc)
