FS: Ohlins shock absorber

Post by Steve6088 »

I decided to sell my ohlins shock. I can't really justify having it on a bike which is mainly used for commuting on.

I've just spent £280 on having it serviced, and having a brand new shaft and hose fitted. This was done at KAIS suspension. The shock has not even been fitted since this work.

Not sure what weight the spring is but it is marked with 1092-64-160-330. It seemed too soft for me (I'm 19 stone).

With the work just done to it, it should function just as well as a new one. I believe these retail for £1000 on ebay.

I'm looking for £500

good luck with the sale steve, its worth the money if you ask me, I just had mine serviced with hm racing iirc it was £270 with a new spring.
strangely someone would buy the shock for £350 unserviced, but do the service and have it as good as new and potential buyers think £600+ is to much, when its a very good deal, they don't have to worry about servicing, just fit and ride.
as I've said, its a great shock and a lot less money than a new one....

Who spring rate calculator are you using Lloyd? If that's racetech then they are on the stiffer racing side of the scale.

if it was still here in a few months, I would be in a position to buy this one, could have done with it a week ago as I have just serviced the swing arm and put it back together weekend just gone. :(

If it's still on here in a few weeks, and £200 cheaper, I'll buy it and sell it at a profit to Bazza in a while.

Sound ok to you?
