introducting.... me :)

Post by MadMaxMV »

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and new to the bike, got a good deal on it as it needs work so currently undergoing a cylinder head transplant, i did manage to have a ride on it before stripping and im officially in love and have been hooked into the world of V twin, i miss the noise of an inline 4 but the torque is amazing on a twin, cracking bike with a great following of great people,
Hoping to mint the bike and be enjoying it for a while :)
Also will be doing a few mods and upgrades to see what more I can squeeze out, I'll keep you guys posted on the progress :)
I'll also pop some pics up of the bike and the current mods, cheers :)
MadMax.

Welcome to the forum

I'm guessing you have had a CCT failure then? Have a read through the Read Me for New Members in my signature you will find info on CCT's in there amongst other useful info.
i miss the noise of an inline 4
You need new cans as well then.

Cct failed on previous owner, weakened the exhaust cam which eventually broke and smashed all 4 valves, I'm doing the work myself and managed to source a new head for it which I will be porting/polishing and adding new springs etc and putting it on.
Hopefully it will all go well :)

I will be porting/polishing
That sounds interesting, it would be good to see some pics of the progress. Have you got a flowbench? or taking a calculated gamble. Don't polish the inlets.
