Oil leak
It's coming from the water pump pipe that's on the front of the clutch cover ,
I know if coolant comes out the seal is fecked but what about oil ,
It's not much but it's enough to notice
Any suggestions ?

Re: Oil leak
Oil in water could be the head gasket. Any over symptoms like overheating or white smoke. Or maybe the oil is getting past the bearing/mechanical seal into the water pump. Try another cover if you have one knocking around to rule it out getting past the seal.

Re: Oil leak
Just a bribble of oil now and again .
None in the coolant
None in the coolant
Re: Oil leak
There are 2 seals there the mechanical seal is for the coolant & the second seal is a featherlipped type and is located behind the coolant mechanical seal. Both these seals keep both fluid types apart. As you have oil leaking there it indicates the second seal has failed.

Re: Oil leak
Right ok I'll swop over the cover :-) thank chaps

Re: Oil leak
A bribble is that like a dribble
Possibly early signs of something there. There's only two ways I can think of that oil will get into the water pump area and that's through the clutch cover via the bearing/seal or into the cooling system via another route like the head gasket, oil and coolant channels mixing.
