It's so well written that it has to stay, so lets see what replies you get and if anyone has a few hundred quid going spare. What's happened to the joke section then? Maybe I shall make that my next stop for catch up.

i have done that too, some nob said to me, "never put your gloves in your helmet, as petrol from pumps etc can then go from the gloves inside your helmet" i didn't for 2 days, then left my chuffin gloves on the petrol pump and some git nicked them within the 2 mins i went and paid.Iwas still carrying the helmet but no gloves inside! doh.
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

Mac, you are a cruel, cruel man.

Well done.

I am considering offering my latest invention to Acme Products:
the Wind-a-Cleaner.

You take a dirty motorcycle, in need of a good clean, then ride it quite quickly- et voilin! the wind blows all the dust off it!

Coming soon, the Mark 2 rain-powered version, tentatively named the Rain-Blow.

Ecological, environmentally friendly, and efficacious*.

*In the case of stubborn stains, ask Jamie's Mum to lick the corner of a hankie** and dab until the stain has entirely disappeared.
We recommend that you test first on an inconspicuous fairing of my bike, (if enough people do this my bike will become cleaner, although covered in spit).

** in the absence of a suitable hankie, please fee free to use any rugby shirt of mine that may come to hand.

I have so far reached the testing stage for both products, following successful Market Research, Initial and Pre=Production design stages, but the project has stalled at the testing phase, as I have no experience of cleaning motorcycles and therefore lack knowledge and technique; I also lack that little brush with a funny shape that is designed to fit nooks and crannies.

Despite much searching, some of it in daylight, I have found no identifiable crannies on my bike, and Honda UK do not list them as an approved extra for this model, although you can get them for Gold Wings, and of course (along with nooks), they are standard on Harleys.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I always keep my gloves inside my lid. I also always take my lid into the petrol stn when I've got to pay.
