Mounting viper cans higher up

Post by Richy85 »

Sorry if this is a common topic - I searched but had no joy.

Just wondering how to get my viper cans to mount high up just under the rear side fairings like a lot of you guys have?
Do I just buy a kit or is there modificationing involved?
I don't carry pillion so the rear pegs are basically redundant anyways.

One Q though - with the cans higher up, does this affect having seat roll bags / fabric paniers etc.?

Cheers

All you need to do is buy the link pipes with the fitting kit. I believe these can be purchased from eBay. You will have to sort something out for your indicators and carrying panniers will be an issue too. Also Depending on your position of your feet on the pegs you can find that the high level link pipes get in the way

And it exposes the fairly naff standard swingarm, so best to brace that of pick up a little aftermarket number, as it's on show.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
