Late model front left indicator/bulb

Post by Virt »

The bulb has blown in my front left indicator, I know you're mostly early-model peasants but I suppose someone might have one spare they're willing to part with for cash?

Bonus points if you're going to grainstorm

Remove bulb and take it to a spotty oik and get a new one .
I do have a box full of 5w bulbs but you will need 20w

I have one but it's a right hand side one- different part number of course, and isn't suitable for swapping one side for the other, or the light will come out backwards or something.

Perhaps one from the wrong side but from a bike that's been left upside down for a week or so will work?

If only these things had a reverse gear, like Harleys.....
Then the rear ones would work.

Sadly, you'll have to order a new standard Honda one.

But don't fit an early model one, they simply can't handle the extra volts.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Unfortunately, on late models the indicator is an integrated part of the fairing, and you will have to buy a complete fairing side.

Interesting story.. Took the lens off to get the bulb out, and the bulb fell into my hand. Bulb hadn't blew, it had just came out. God knows how that happened

Yes, I had to try to put a new bullet connector on a late model fairing side indicator and sadly it just wouldn't fit, the new side was the only option.
