Help!
While trying to get the stuck engine stud out, my mate smacked the frame around the centre mount lug, and it also looks like it was hit previous to us trying to get it out aswell.
Will the frame be ok or am I better sourcing a replacement?
Frame and strength
Re: Frame and strength
Ok I'm a bit confused now...
Does this relate to your other thread about a seized 'stud' as when I read that I assumed you meant the exhaust studs...
Having just re-read that thread I can clearly see it's not...What your taking about is 'Engine Mounting bolts'...Yep they can be a right PITA to remove.
I had to cut one out once, On the right hand side, cut through the bit of the frame in-between the engine & the frame...Yep it fecks the frame but the bit you have cut out can be made up with a spacer.
The one I cut to remove the engine is now back on the road BTW.
If you really have to major agricultural with it I have a frame 'R' Plate sitting in the MacCave...Full V5 on sorn...£50 if you want it...
