Now the screen stays black while power supply is on,but it all works ok if power supply is off. If I turn power supply on while it's working the screen goes black again.

Re: Windows 10
I updated my atop from w8.1 to W10 without issue, the PC in the office that ran W8.1 was a little more problematical and won't print to the network printer (the laptop does so wirelessly)
The big problem is the main W7 PC which downloaded the update, got to about 33% on installation now just shows a blue windows logo and won't go any further.
It's having to go to the computer repair man on Monday. Thanks Microsoft.

yup I've upgraded to 10, takes a bit of getting used to, but it seems better than 8, the only issue I had was a cursor lock issue, but it's been sorted with an update.
there is one other thing tho, when typing on facebook, sometimes it all goes tits up and I have to refresh the page and rewrite again..

Re: Windows 10
I hear more bad things than good things about Windows 10 , only a couple of
days ago even a computer trader in Preston Lancashire selling his wares was
telling customers to avoid W10 like the plague.... hey ho ...Windows 7 here we go ... these
updates are obviously for a reason ... money ? .... but why do them.... scaring
the crap out of good folks Microsoft ?

Know how you feel, Marty- on Facebook I often ending up typing a heap of shite and having to tone it down before posting......agentpineapple wrote:yup I've upgraded to 10, takes a bit of getting used to, but it seems better than 8, the only issue I had was a cursor lock issue, but it's been sorted with an update.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
