Seat fairing Allen bolts

Trying to undo Allen bolts on front of the seat fairing/cowl, but the captive nut part is spinning in the rear subframe, Any ideas to stop it turning .???? Thanks

Yep !
Drill a small hole vertically down from above it and wedge it with a drift to stop it spinning.

You could also try putting a hex drive in a drill, select reverse, just spin it up.
Often the captive nut will heat up and seize in the metal section, and the screw undoes.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I've managed to remove them when this has happened in the past, you need a flat head screw driver and a hammer. then place the screw driver against the small lip between the bolt and the subframe, give it a few whacks, fingers crossed it'll pinch and allow you to remove the bolt, it's worked for me in the past, iirc shaun put me onto this method... :thumbup:
