Fuel tap

Hi recently removed the fuel tap from my VTR .
I`m installing the tap and can`t remember which position is the on position .(I can`t read the writing on the fuel tap).
Does the fuel tap have an on , off , and prime position ?

I always get this mixed up, all I know is its either fully aginst
the stop the one way, or a full half turn till it hit the stop
the other, nothing in between, if you get what I mean ,

I usually turn with a pair of pliers, as you say you cant really see
the writing

No prime just on or off.

Just reinstall if it runs it's on if it don't its off...
