Hey guy's big question my bike, on idle at 1000rpm is charging my battery at 13.40 on the first start
After waiting a while and after 20 degrees becomes 13.80 and not rising I think that's quite normal
When I pull the throttle the voltage is not rising up its going down like 13.40
I didn't try to pull harder on throttle more then 2000 rpm, got loud pipes (does anyone tried to shorten their stock pipes ? I think I'll do that and get rid of the carbon ones )
Rectifier is an aftermarket one a finned one
Battery is new

Re: Problem with charging
You need to check at 5k revs what the charge is.
If it aint broke, get your bloody hands off it!
Re: Problem with charging
13.4-14.4 is good range, if your not getting a flat battery it's ok, you can make it better by splicing into the earth wire by the block connector and taking a wire direct to the battery earth, that should up your voltage a little and help prevent reg/rec failures.. You don't need to rev it at 5k, modern bikes give what you need at tickover with maybe a little revs as you put lights on but it should stabilize. some older bikes you needed to hold the revs up near 3k to get an decent reading.
