Oil in the airbox

Post by TravisZack »

Is it normal to see a few runs and light film of oil in the airbox? Particularly where the little outlet is on the breather tank. I understand the purpose of the breathers but should there be a visible amount? I'm guessing this is why the bike "drinks" a little oil, although I don't think it ever used to.

As there's outlets from the cam covers leading into the airbox - that will acount for the light oiling. Perfectly normal.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
