Plus you'll possibly need to get a new battery if the old one has been damaged when your R/R went down.

R/R fitted holds 12.2 Volts across the Rev range and with all the lights on - good result
Tomorrow is Cam cover oil leak investigation day, its only an oil seal not a compression gasket so cover off check the rubber then sealant or new one.

12.2 volts is to low, needs to be above 13.5 volts with bike running and lights in, you may have a faulty stator.

I had same problem on my CBR929, did read somewhere that both usually go hand in hand in given up the ghost together, so replaced both, a stator check an inspection will soon give the game away, stator replacing not bad, except draining the oil, so might as well do an oil and filter change whilst your at it.

Yup double check battery and stator. Look for black burnt sooty windings on the stator rather than nice and clean and coppery coloured

When I took my stator off the blade I couldn't believe what I saw, where is had been in a crash and ripped some of the engine casing off it had also damaged ( quite badly ) the stator, to the point some of the conductors were actually coming apart, so instead of replacing it had sat on there for years being charged on a trickly charger.
Anyway back on topic
To look at the stator its very visual to see when a stator is not good, its as wicky says should be nice coppery and not blackened.
When the go its not something that becomes apparent straight away not until about three conductors have gone as they take themselves out usually one at a time.
