SP1 or 2 question

Post by xeris »

Need a simple favor. I need a measurement, center to center, of the exhaust port studs?
If you can do this for me I will send that lucky person some warm, dry, sunny weather.
Thanks in advance.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Sorry, I can't help at the moment, mines tucked away for the winter and not easy to get to, but if you PM Tonymon I'm sure he'll be able to give you that info, I know he's doing some work on his at the moment, so he's probably got the fairings off, it's better with the fairings off, you can see much better to take a good measurement.

Sorry, mine's tucked up, too, and behind two other bikes.

But have a look at one of Simon Kobe's sale listings:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/RC51-VTR1000SP2 ... 2328622868

The tube is 51mm diameter, and so you can scale up to get approximately correct centres

Otherwise, suggest you try asking on the stateside forum:
www.rc51forums.com

This is a much busier site and so you should get an answer quite quickly.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thank you for the reply. I'm going to post the question at that site
Thanks Wicky. Who is the email address and are they a service of some type. Forgive, I'm old and slow.

Click the link as they have an SP engine for sale and if you asked they might be able to take the measurement.
