Getting an odd noise when decelerating when the engine is cold. Sounds like the timing chain slapping, but goes away when the engine is warm.
Suspect CCTs so have ordered some manuals, but wanted to see if anyone else had a similar issue before? If i rev the engine and then reduce the revs when on the stand, no noise, so then possibly thinking it might be drive related as it only seems to occur when in gear and moving.

Re: Odd noise when decelerating
That was initially what i thought, but changed the chain and sprockets today. Still makes the noise...

Worth checking again .
Wrap the link pipe in foil and see if it gets chewed up
Re: Odd noise when decelerating
the big bearing in the rear sprocket carrier starting to give up the ghost, then when it gets warm it tightens up a bit?
