Hi
Hi
Thanks for the ad. I've just bought a 1998 Firestorm. Sadly the test ride wasn't lots of fun. Probably some of the worst riding conditions I've ever been in. Plus it's been a few years since I last rode a bike. I got to the first roundabout all I could see was oil on the rain soaked roads and metal man hole covers. In fact I was concentrating so much on not stuffing it I couldn't remember my way back and the test was a bit longer than planned. The bike still impressed me and the price was in my budget so I bought it and pick it up next week, as long as it's not snowing.
First V twin I've ever had and the first Honda I've ever bought. Although I did fail my first attempt at a bike test on a borrowed super Dream back in 1980.
Previous Bikes
Yamaha DT175MX
Yamaha RD250F
Kawasaki KH 500
Kawasaki GPZ 550H
Kawasaki GPZ 550H (replacement as first bike was written off)
Kawasaki Z1A
Kawasaki GT 750
Kawasaki GPX 250
Kawasaki ZZR600

Re: Hi
A convert from Kawasaki!
Well, tbh their big vee twins aren't much competition really
Start reading up on the forum, get the basics checked and start modifying, if that's your thing, then get along to some of the local meets, rideouts and weekenders.
Good to have you aboard, get some pics up when it's home.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Re: Hi
Welcome along. A ZZR600 was nearly the first bike I bought. Settled for a faired Bandit 600 instead.
Re: Hi
Welcome Carl.
I loved a GT550 shaft I had, see you had the 750.
VTR with shaft drive would've been nice, I hate chain noise and maintenance...
