Can anyone help either put my mind at ease or help advise what this noise is?
I seem to hear it more when the engine is warm but I can't seem to work out where it's coming from.
Engine ticking.
Re: Engine ticking.
Exhuast leak? somewhere either at the manifold header (copper crush gasket) or a header link pipe (graphite seal).

Re: Engine ticking.
Like Wicky just mentioned, I also recon it's the exhaust blowing

Re: Engine ticking.
I also agree it does sound like it could be the exhaust blowing. One of the joints that sometimes gets over looked is the one in between the swingarm,

Re: Engine ticking.
Thanks folks. I'll take it to work tomorrow and check it over when it's warm. I was hoping it would be something like exhaust blow but had started wondering if it was the cct as I haven't got the mcct to replace them yet.

And for clamps fully stainless Mikalor W4 Supra, and some hi-temp silicone with new graphite seals (make sure you clean out old ones). VTR's auto CCTs operate binarily - either they work or they don't. The death rattle they make will tell you to turn the bike off... Add it to your to-do list as a priority before they bite you in the b u m.
