Good morning lads and ladesses.
Just been to our dawn parade for the fallen soldiers, just reminds how lucky we are now, and how sadly missed these men and women are who gave their lives fighting for there countries. LEST WE FORGET.
ANZAC

and remembering those who still fight all over the world for our right to live as we want. god bless em all.
Well it makes us happy that at least some people back home appreciate what we do. We don't seek accolade or praise merely the support of our nation who we proudly serve.
This place, by the way, hasn't changed a bit in two years since i was last here. Still bloody hot and still bloody dangerous. Still the keener amongst you may have seen in the news recently about a few successes that we have had out here in recent weeks.
We still remember all our fallen comrades and those who continue to fall each day. The sacrifice they make is for the person standing next to them, that is the honour.
A bit deep for tis forum but nonetheless, heartfelt.

nice one mellis, my stepson is on a 7month tour at the moment in Basra, you don't realize you miss kids until they go and defend your country that you take for granted, makes hearing their voice on the phone once a week all that more special instead of the turn it down speeches you make at home lol, by the way he is 21
