scooby failed again

ok... the guy with the diagnostics machine didn't have the right plug... the one he used kept blowing a fuse in my car!
anyway.. got the oil change done at last... and a new air filter... it's had a couple of 'blasts' since then.
Took it back down for a retest at 7.45 this morning... and it's dropped a little.. but not much.
apparently... it's running weak? ( well i'd certainly like to know where all my fuel goes !!!!!!!)
So.. the guys on the scooby forum have recommended a guy a few miles away... so hope to get in touch with him and see how much it's gonna cost to put on the diagnostics

The diagnostic port is a standard ISO ODBII d-type connector. If he doesn't have that then he's talking out his butt!

My lambda sensor went on my scooby, seems to be something of a common fault. If i remember correctly it sits in the airstream and gauges air intake. The trouble is if you have a performance air filter then it can let too much air through and actaully damage the sensor itself. Of course i might have got my lambdas and my omegas mixed up !!

Still, its wort all the hassle just for those blasts downa back B road. It really is bike fun on 4 wheels.

i've put my lamda sensor in a sleeve, tucked it away, problem solved


fools the ecu into thinking all is well with the emissions and fuels the car appropirately
