I,ve got a 02 storm with almost 17,000 on it and are thinking
about changing the cct's. can you tell me why I have to put it on the
compression stroke. surely as long as its at TDC the valves will be closed
and no need to remove the cam covers. saving a lot of time.
also is it much cheaper to by from david silver as from honda.
another cct question

The reason it needs to be on the compression stroke is that then the cam lobes are well away from the valves

As sirch has said you do need to put the timing at tdc and you do need to remove the covers because when you rotate the timing the cams may not be facing away from each other so you need to turn one more revolution until the E MARKS ARE AWAY FROM EACH OTHER if that makes sense.
