My birthday soon so I got me my first bike a VTR

Post by Styler4077 »

Hi all,

As my 50th's is only 11 days I got myself a present.
A 2001 Yellow VTR Firestom at (I hope) a great price of only £1650
My first road bike 15 years after my test, thought I raced and sprinted my old bike (A very old 1954 Norton Dominator)

First a good clean, second some new colour coded wheels and third many many hours over the winter on my new dyno.

Hello to you all

Nice choice and welcome mate

Good idea about the wheels but have you thought about sorting the handling first?

And if you do go down the 'paint the wheels' route, would you be interested in swapping wheels with me first coz I'd like a set of the lighter grey wheels on my storm?

Just a thought

Thanks for the replys.

In no particular order.
Need a spare set of forks (Any one got some)
As far as handling goes look like £200 to Rob / Rodger for the forks to be sorted.
What about the rear a new Hagon??? Is that the right name?
Looking for some spare wheels, so I would swap cash either way what ever

Yes I'm mad built my own mobile dyno truck with a twin roller 500BMP 200MPH dyno for Bikes, quads and karts in the back of a 7.5ton lorry with speeper cab and a full lux sleeping compartment with hot/cold water, heating, shower, electric loo, cooker with oven and fridge. My wife loves it..!!!!!! and the truck.....
Purchased from an Ex F1 Judd car owner in Scotland and no expense was spared.

If we (FireStorm UK have an open day/ club day I'll come with the dyno.

Mainly do ACU, new Era etc etc race day at UK circuits.

Have fun,

Oh need a set of two peice leathers, 6ft 2in 17 stone (big)

regards,

Stephen
