No, not the poll you were thinking of... (and we all know the answer to that anyway)
About 20 minutes ago, i did the single most stupid thing I've done in a long time. The most stupid since... well... er... that time I was snapped in the Royal Grammar School for Catholic Girls' upper class dorm shower with the yoghurt and Shergar in the great banana incident of 82.
Went to set off on the bike and I thought it was broken. It wouldn't go forwards... (see what I've done yet?)
Then it decides, sod forwards, I wanna go sideways and have a little lie down...
*Thwump* a 13 stone goth under a 32 stone motorcycle does not a pretty image make.
Sigh... remember your disc locks folks...
Still, ended well. Not a scratch on it, fork, caliper and disc all fine. No warping or anything broken (except my shattered pride and cool biker image)
How stupid am I?
How stupid am I?

At least you're big enough to tell us all about it and that has a sort of nobility and coolness all of its own. Plus we've all done it haven't we. Today for example i finally got around to setting up my camera on my new bike and going out. There i am tanking around about to join the auotbahn and slowing down for the on ramp the engine just dies, completely. Pull off the road, stand around, thinking it must be the new immobiliser, start taking the fairing off to get at it. Police bike pulls up and offers help in embarrassingly good english, i say yes, he flicks the kill switch back to off and the thing fires first time.... oh the shame of it

I had a good laugh at my wife yesterday.
She had to get both of my boys to school by 8 (different schools) Dropped the eldest at secondary school, drove to the junior school to drop the younger one off and parked in the car park. (wife works at the junior school). All is going well.
She then gets home from school at lunch time and can't work out why the car is not outside the house where it's normally parked.
She had walked home from school and forgot the bloody car
And women say men are forgetful

iam hungry!!!!!
I have one of those lmao, but it came off during the night, so I didn't notice it...
I also rarely use my disclock (my bike being in a locked compound full of coppers)
So lack of familiarity and failure of warning device is my excuse.
I used to have a length of electrical cable outer that I'd put on my ignition key. Kinda a disk lock key condom. Worked well, till I lost it and haven't cut another one.

Kitch ya muppet
We've all been there (some of us more than once)
At least there was no real damage eh
Last time I did the old disklock incident I had the good fortune to drop it right in front of a bloke in a van who was an auto-valeter of a very high calibre. Despite there being scuffing which looked to go through the paint he had it polished out within 5 minutes and honestly, you would never know it had been dropped. Bent the carrier on me disk though so I had to replace that. Doh.

That is only slightly embarassing compared to my dumbest thing ever on a motorcycle.
In the middle of town on a saturday lunchtime, 2 lanes of cars stopped at the lights, I go down the middle..reach the front and in slow motion go over on my side with an allmighty crash.
i forgot to put my feet down as i came to a stop.

You were very fortunate to get away with that
