Re: Newbie

Welcome to the mad-house. Only thing I would say about riding a big twin compared to a buzzy four pot is watch that engine braking, it's insane! I remember when I first got mine coming from a CBR600F, I went off down a local lane, and did what I used to do on the 600... dropped it a cog entering thi...

Howdy, I'm a newbie myself, but they seem to be a friendly bunch.

Good to see you've got the best colour :biggrin

Re: Six spokes and 3 spokes that fit 17 +front brake discs

Paint colour? I had the original (rather damaged) silver wheel side by side with the B-Bird wheel... I got the callipers (as in measuring, not brakes) out and measured everything I could. Everything was the same bar the paint finish. More importantly, the discs mount on the holes, the origina...

Re: Hellooooo!

I'm half tempted to stick the crazy yellow thing on a trailer and bring it up and have you lot service, set it all up and clean it for me :biggrin The cleaning will take a while, she's been laid up for an embarrassingly long time, and rather dusty. On the plus side, I think I might have the lowest m...

Re: Hellooooo!

OOOOOH! Not fair! I'd love to come and join in, but alas Banana isn't going to be ready by then, need tyres before I can even think of visiting an MOT station. I'll have a look in the ride-out section though, I might still pop into the workshop via the 4 wheel box transport if that's permitted

Re: Hellooooo!

Hi Carl, The "leave me stranded" situation is one of the things about fitting the alarm myself I like... I fit it, I know how it's connected and where the wires run, so I will know how to by-pass it. To anyone else it'll be a mysterious collection of black wires, but I'll know  My ca...

Re: Hi all just got a 98 vtr in yellow

Hiya... I've just signed up tonight, but feel I must assist my fellow banana owner!

Plus of course having seen all the other comments, I'm now paranoid about the CCTs!

Jeez, what have you started!

Re: Six spokes and 3 spokes that fit 17 +front brake discs

I'll throw in a little contribution if you don't mind... When I wrecked my front wheel I had the devil's own job finding another, all the blade owners were buying up all the 17" VTR front wheels or something! So I went and looked at a Blackbird front, guess what... Fits! The discs swap straight...

Re: Hellooooo!

Hi guys (and maybe girls?), Thanks for the great welcome... Should have known better than to ask about tyres, all I'll end up with is even more options! :Beer Popcorn: Re security, I know what you mean about scum with a van, don't worry, it'll be physically locked down to. There are some nice metal ...

Hellooooo!

Hi, Really should have signed up here years ago, but somehow I didn't. But I'm here now! :D I'm the happy owner of an '02 plate 'storm FY (yes, I know, very old stock!). No idea why it sat about unsold so long, the bright yellow isn't that scary really... The insects certainly seem to love it when I...
