Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Changed my regulator/rectifier for a large finned CB125 one, straightened my hugger using a metal brace (just me being anal about stuff being level) and replaced some fasteners with stainless ones :D

Re: Re jetting

I have read that increasing just the pilot jets to a number 48 is a big help.

Re: My new storm

Ordered those db killers / baffles so will try them to cut down the noise, petrol tank was swapped because it had rust in it apparently. It would be nice if fueling is ok, do you suggest super unleaded? Will do a few hundred miles and see how it goes.

Re: xv1000

If naked a 900 Hornet? Bulletproof motor, just no wind protection but apart from that they are a good bike and as overlooked they are cheap to buy, they are quite fast and very easy to ride.

Re: My new storm

Thanks guys, yes it has done 1980 miles as I type this. It has a brand new petrol tank too. Might persevere with the cans with some baffles, still need the lead gaskets as it is blowing and found missing one and got goo instead. Thanks for the mobile offer when the Kreigers arrive I will see how con...

Re: CCT change workshop day?

Thanks guys, no I understand it's me that would do the work but it's having the guy with me to tell me what to do / give me tips and guide me that I need. Re: CCT change workshop day?

Yes, maybe not so good an idea then. I would happily donate some cash, I think it's only fair if I go round someones house and they are good enough to help me. If anyone fancys a go at helping me with mine I will gladly give them some money to go for a few beers on me.

Hi, please forgive the CCT title as I have done my homework and it must be the number topic on this forum but bear with me and keep reading :) I am new to here so forgive me if this is a daft idea. But........ it seems to me the number one issue people want to deal with when getting a Storm is the c...

Re: What was your bike before the storm?

I have had over 45 bikes so far so it is a long list  but last bike on the road was a KTM690 Duke in Black, currently have a bored out GSX750 from the 1980's and a 250 Trials bike that is going to pay for my Firestorm :D I get my Firestorm end of the week, only 3 sleeps!
