Re: chinese fairings any one
thanks for the replies, looking at race ones seem thinner and black or white, the Czech ones have discount but then cost it back in postage. would think race ones wont house lights very well so might go for the Chinese , Powerbronze are good from past experience but pricier yet cheaper than oem!

Re: chinese fairings any one
spray over isn't an option, front mudguard has a 6inch crack in, right hand side fairing has fixing hole broken out to around 25mm dia, generally scratches and cracks or lumps out of nearly all pieces. just thinking for £250 , its what replacement or repairs would cost then there is different finish...

Re: New Bike, Seized Engine, CCT?
just remember you might get a bit of resistance undoing the cap on the end of the alternator cover. they are soft metal and if corroded may round out the hexagon. if its not been removed in a while a few dabs of grinding compound may lock the allen key in, but worst case scenario is threads may stri...

Re: valve shims and rocker cover bolts
this was why I was asking ready for next weekend. you dont know what you need until you start the job.
then you have to order and wait. when the bike is needed as a daily ride it cant be off the road that long.
just thought a set bought between the group could recirculate to whoever needs them.

Re: another starting problem
Have dived inside today, the compression was down to 50psi as best as I could get with my short stem tester. checked the rear head and the exhaust were just on 0.012" so ok, the inlets down to 0.001" not 0.006" so looks like thats the problem. running iridium plugs EIX not the EVX as ...
