thanks for the help, changed the cct, took the cam cover off just to make sure I was guessing right (I was). There did,nt seem to be anything wrong with the cct's. Changed them anyway. haven't had any noises since (touch wood). Done about 150 miles. no way to turn off petrol on f2 model took tank ...

thanks for the speedy reply, correct me if I,m wrong, by removing the rear plug it effectivly becomes a single cylinder, by rotating the engine past the RT mark anticlockwise (the direction it normally runs ?). It must be either on the exaust stroke or the compression stroke, I should be able to ...

need an answer to a cct problem, think one of mine might have gone, had the bike from new now 23,000+ miles made a noise about 2-3 months ago then stopped, started again last week only do,s it for a few seconds then stops. sounds like a slight blowing exhaust. by the time I get home for a proper ...

just seen this my storm has exactly the same noise, did you find out what is was. very intermittent may only do it once on journey to work 10 miles through traffic.and for only short period of time.

I,ve got a 02 storm with almost 17,000 on it and are thinking about changing the cct's. can you tell me why I have to put it on the compression stroke. surely as long as its at TDC the valves will be closed and no need to remove the cam covers. saving a lot of time. also is it much cheaper to by ...
