Part of the dynojet kit includes drilling holes in the vacuum slides of the carbs. If you put the stock needles and related gear back in the carbs, it won't run right until you plug the holes in the vacuum slides.

One comment about the guns... just make it a not-so "warning" shot. I had a bike stolen out of my garage here in OH, and the 'hawk is chained to the floor now. What kind of bike alarm do you have? The tip/shock/proximity sensors sound like a good combination, especially since you can turn...

The details… “Something” woke me up this morning at about 4:15, so I got up and got a drink of water. It looks like that “something” was this guys loud-ass U-haul truck. Because there are puddles in the parking lot, it appears that he pulled in and had to turn his truck around because ther...

Motorcycle Alarm!

I am cutting/pasting from the other forum I posted this on: I am a little tired, and a little pissed, and a lot happy! Someone tried to steal my bike this morning! I woke up this morning at about 4:15 for what seemed to be no reason. I got up and got a drink of water. As I got back in bed, I checked...

Ignition switch/barrel This is one of those things that you can do cheaply, or spend a little money on. When I did it, I went the cheap route and then fixed things later when I had the cash. The VTR ignition switch is significantly different from the CBR unit. The VTR ignition switch will bolt righ...

Handle bars VTR clip-ons will not fit the CBR fork tubes. The clip-ons ended up being the most expensive part of the entire job. Probably because this is the only part of the conversion that pretty much requires parts not made by Honda. On the stock VTR the clip-ons fit above the top triple clamp, ...

I am trying to put together a full text and picture page for the conversion> Maybe you guys could give it a proof read? Do you see anything that doesn't make sense?? Here is some o...

Ok it wasn't anything I was doing wrong. Or at least the front end being out wasn't from the way I put it back together. The triple tree is bent :( So time to start looking for another one. Thx for the info thou Um... why not just have it straightened? Hopefully there is someone near you that can d...

Any chance i would be able to get some close up pics of your 'sweet :D ' bike.... preferably the front end as the bike shop and i need to see what it looks like under all that fairing for when we go abo...

This isn't for a USD forks, and also doesn't allow for the bigger brakes of the 929/954rr.

Actually... I found it very funny!

Now I just have to figure out what will happen when I cut and paste it on a US bike forum. :D

I should also include this: If your bike is straight now, this project could be almost FREE!!! A straight VTR front end should be able to get a premium price if you sell it. Not many people wreck VTR's (at least here in the US) so good bits are hard to find. 929/954RR front ends are a dime a dozen. ...

You are welcome to PM me about this if you want. 90% of this work is really easy. It is the final 10% of work to make it a polished "it came this way from Honda" look. The 929/954RR front end bolts right on, the triples fit fine. The only "custom" issue is that you need raised cl...
