Yes, it's possible in a car park.

What's the worst that can happen, losing bits and having to push it home?

It'll be fine.

Almost certainly.

No doubt at all.

Probably.

I'd chance it, myself.

I had a great day, many thanks to all concerned. Tony, you're a legend. I no longer have CCT anxiety every time I thrash the storm, and as a bonus, my front brakes work better than they ever have. The ride home was fun  You can definitely put me down for the next one.

Good turnout, ten bikes!

More Storms than I've seen together before.

We had a barbie and a beer at lunchtime, and fitted four sets of CCT's (thanks for three of those, Bazza), weather was good- one person (who can remain nameless for now, as he wasn't well) has to sit out of the sun for a bit.

Jonesy brought some brake upgrade kit, and a bunch of reg/recs, of which I have three left- plug and play, first come first served.

Some carb balancing and general fitting of vacuum take-offs for a few others.

People came from as far away as Birmingham and Bristol. so well impressed.

Hope you all made it safe home, see you at the July meetup.

And thanks for the biccies!

Here's the snaps, more to come of the actual work once my daughter gets hers downloaded:

Well another great workshop day over
3 yellow ones (Fastest type I was told) :D
3 Red, 2 silver and 1 black

And did we get a lot done. I'll stand corrected but I think the following was done :-

4 set's of cct's.
2 set of carb balance pipe work fitted.
4 sets of carbs balanced.
2 set of front brakes bleed and sorted.
1 blown mid section exhaust.
1 set of front pads (EBC HH) with stainless steel front hoses and a complete front brake setup (lever, cylinder and res)
I had the above done and a set of CCT's fitted.

Excellent company, great comradery, burnt chops and burger (That would be me) 8O

Many thanks Tony for hosting another great event.

I'm terrible with names so for give me for not listing everyone.
There are a few picture take during the day so I'd like to put name, nick name and bikes to each if possible.

Thanks for everyone help today.

A brilliant day, what every you do, Don't miss the next one.

bet your neighbours love you with all the revving and foul language lol
wish i lived a bit nearer, sounds like a good day out.
instead i spent a morning fettling then went for a brisk (50mph!) ride through cat & fiddle - not a soul on the roads but still the copter was in the air lol :whatever

then called at the petrol shop to fill up, stuck £13 in and then realised i'd left my wallet at home 8O Doh!
guy was very understanding and gave me a week to return & pay.

on the way back broke down (in tears!) well, sort of broke down, just noticed oil all over my boot - looks like the cooler's gone, or the left hand pipe that fastens to it.
so if anyone's got a spare i'd be gratefull of a pm!

nice pics too - respect due tony  hip hip
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Another terrific workshop day, great fun and more new faces met. Tony I don't know how your wife puts up with you running these days mate, as we take over the garden, but once again I learnt one helluva lot about my Storm from those present  ) Dave and Dave, Neil , Chris good to meet you, Steve and Keith good to see you again

Bazza - thanks for the manual CCT's and tony/bazza for balancing my carbs. So much better now. Dunno why when we pulled away from your drive for the ride out, I was running a 500cc Storm which kept spitting and coughing back through the other cylinder - wierd. 500 yds down the road whatever it was cleared and she just took off and hasn't misfired since. Guess she must have been clearing out her throat.. :)

Anyway the difference - ok, so no more power, but having the confidence now to open the throttle and ride the Storm as she should be ridden without worrying whether a CCT would let go makes all the difference.

So Tony - once again a big thank you for hosting and running these days, they are very worthwhile buddy an dthoroughly enjoyable
