I thought Id let you see the roundabout in question.
I am the green line the blue Fiesta is the blue line Red blob is point of contact and yellow blob is where I ended up after bouncing a couple of times.

The bike I think got off lightly, just had a quick look in my garage at it as its pissing of rain here. The damage is a follows.

Left hand fairing broken at bottom and also cracked at top mount (will prob be able to make it usable again I think)
Handle bars are bent to feck (might have to get new renthals or summit)
Double bubble screen broken
left hand link pipe seems to have taken the worst of it as its squashed to buggery.
clutch lever is bent into a nice U shape but will try and straighten it.
indicators fecked
exhaust has a wee scrape but I think the worst will polish out (maybe)

As for me, elbow is sore as feck and couldnt get comfy in bed last night at all. Shoulder and neck are really stiff but as the policeman says to me yesterday at least you walked away from it.

I just had a thought there. As the bike was laying on its side cars had stopped all around and drivers were asking if I needed a hand to pick the bike up as you do I replied naw your alright Ill manage.

Now as you know the firestorm she is a heavy beast and because I was all pumped full of adrenalin I went to pick her up and it was like lifting a pushbike off the ground I must of looked like the incredible hulk with my ripped troosers on

Just seen this. Sorry to hear about it mate. I'm in the same boat bikewise. I got hit by a blind tw@ last tuesday and am searching for left hand parts. Glad you're ok though mate and at least you walked away from it.

From that pic, you were lucky not to hit that kerb and sign in front of you?

Were you heading right at that junction?

Bloody women drivers though!! She was probably day dreaming or doing her make up and last minute woke up and realised she needed to go right.

No mate I was heading straight on. Believe it or not its a great big roundabout and the blue fiesta had just entered from a junction at the bottom left of the picture.

Ahh right

My brother had same thing happen to him then but he was driving car. He got 3500 payout for a bruised back as it spun him into hitting a lamp post.
