Re: Goose goes naked...
Made a bit of a change to my exhaust so thought I better stick a picture up.
I had a spare can and a couple of link pipes lying around so I went round to the old mans and had him chop and weld them up until we came up with this...

The end can isn't the greatest and so I'm on the lookout for a stubby carbon can if anybody has one lying around and would like to donate it to the cause I would be more than grateful lol
I've noticed since removing the old exhaust that it seems to want to rev a lot better now and even feels like the bike is quicker. However, I think this could be to do with the separate internal baffle that I had to have in the exhaust because of the noise, restricting gas flow.
Question: Does the fact its spitting flames out the can on down change indicate a problem? Fuelling issue, or could it be something more serious?
Don't get me wrong, I love riding past shop windows and seeing the 2ft flames kicking out the back in the reflection, but, I don't wanna wombles my bike up lol

Re: Goose goes naked...
Possibly running a little rich where the residual unburnt gases are re-ingniting as they pass through the hot cans. Benny & Tony should be able to give u a more acurate answer

thats alot of bike for such a small end can, i reckon you'll be changing it on a semi regular basis, cus your gonna knock the stuffing out of it literally.....hahaha
i was looking at single exhaust and was looking at a chunky aftermarket millie can, they don't come much bigger than those...........still great bike fella

Usually it indicates a small air bleed into the system under negative pressure with the throttle shut, because the spent mixture won't normally reignite until more oxgen (air) is added.
You can persuade it by fitting a second spark plug in the can, and fitting a second ignition coil, or stick coil, switched on the handlebars.
Produces a jet engine effect, blue flames two feet long, for as long as you push the button, but plod don't think it's funny.
Killswitch backfires are more controllable, and much better for frightening dogs under railway arches, Eh, Benny?
