i know its been explained but let me delve deeper.. Dyno jet kits are just 1 manufacturers name for a JET KIT. The company dynojet makes these jet kits for carburated bike(of course) and powercomanders for fuel injected bike. A jet kit from dyno jet comes with lighter springs that hold the slide in the carb down. But because they are lighter the slide will come up faster which equalls crisper throttle response. It will also come with adjustable jet needles. Your stock needles do not have grooves on them except for one so there is no adjustability. The jet kits needle has 6 grooves. The way these help is, They improve mid range air fuel ratio to match what it needs to be. Which is 13.2 then you will get a set of main jets which go in the bottom of the carb. these are for wide open throttle air fuel ratio. All a jet kit does is allow the carbs and the a/f ratio to be correct with the mods that you have. You get a k&n filter you need to richen every thing up. you get a full pipe too you need to richen it up some more. All this allows for a almost stock feel ride. SO you dont have boggyness and you dont have loss of power at certain rpm's

So. It's that simple then? 8O
Seriously, thanks for that. When you know how things work, it gives you a much better idea of how to sort it when it goes wrong! :? It sounds like I could do with having that done.

Anybody had the work done and noticed lots of improvement:?:

i'm making 114 hp not bhp at the wheel with a k&n , tuned jet kit and slip ons . my air fuel ratio above 2500 is 13:2 all the way to 10000 which is pretty damn good. i probably need to drop my needle to the 6th groove to sort out the 1000 to 2500 .

it does help but do make sure you route all your hoses right or you'll be like me . chasing an imaginary problem in the carbs for 2 months and you bike running like sh1t all just because you routed your vacuum hose on your petcock(fuel tap) wrong

oh yea and i dot know if the european version has this but the american version comes with a drill and a drill jig to drill the top of your slide . This allows for the slide to come up even quicker. If you notice anything it will be how crisp the throttle is.
