i sold a mk1 capri in the early nineties because i couldn't afford to tax and insure it, i saw a copper outside my house giving it the once over(it was a bit tatty) so it went straight in the local paper for £100, it sold witiin 10mins of the paper hitting the shops, in the next 5 days i had over 50 phone calls for the car, turns out everyone wanted one for a project, it was propbably worth over £500........
the lesson is to do your homework about what your selling or buying for that matter........sorry it's not about a bike......

So many, but I just couldn't afford (cash & space) to keep them. Yamaha FS1e, Suzuki GT250m, Ford Cortina mk2, Corsair, Capri etc etc.
I have got a Yamaha FS1e I bought & rebuilt for my son and a GT250m I rebuilt but it's not the same as the originals. The one that really made an impression on me was the first bike I pulled apart, put back together & used, a Suzuki TS250M a really good fun bike.

on topic, same. although the bike was a Honda MTX200 - 2 stroke, used it for years to get around London. Should never have sold it - was unbreakable and would still be an ideal winter bike - not sure if it would comply with emissions, but a great, pokey little bike. The others came and went as life progressed, but that one was a diamond. :D
