I know this might sound like a daft question but are batteries totally sealed?
Could I mount it upside down without fear of it leaking for example?
I'm not going to mount one upside down, but interested in knowing what angle I could go to as I'm looking at a custom subframe and space will be tight without laying the battery on its side
so unless your running extra electrics, i really don't think you need that big a battery, i one i bought was a tight squeeze to fit, they are a big battery, i haven't got a problem with bigger batts but just remember its physical size and weight....
lets us know what you go for dude....
I'm not gonna have a massive amount of extra electrics, but will be running relays for the headlights and would quite like it to start on a cold morning when I go to it for work lol always found the one I have (standard replacement) used to struggle on colder mornings and if I hadn't been out for a while.
Cheers for the options though mate, but I think I'm gonna go for one with better AH than standard and I do like the fact that this one has 4 terminals. Space shouldnt be a problem as I will factor in the size of the battery when fab'ing the subframe
Ordered yesterday, received today. Excellent. Only problem is it didn't come with 4 terminals, only 2. Did yours Tony? I mean the battery has 4 spaces for them to be fitted just in the additional packet there was only 2 terminal "mounts".

Same as mine; I used the screws and flat rectangular nuts from the old battery in the other positions.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Hi..gonna replace my battery soon. The Motobat one you recommend, does it fit ok into the battery box, or is the problem fitting with the larger 16amp one.
I bought the 20ah one, it is the same width an depth but a mite taller...I think that this will only be a problem if you still have the battery box lid under the seat
