cheers chris, it certainly looks like the wrong bracket, i'll ask tony if he has one. and i'll try and get hold of the bolt for the bracket behind the sidestand....

HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
Re: powerbronze lowers fitting question
It's the correct bracket, but yopurs has been bent through 90 degrees. Bend it back up so that it looks like the one in Chris' picture.
But if it snaps, yes, I have a set.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Usually because the engine was taken out but the bracket was left on it.bigspanishmarty wrote:i get ya, your calling me a bendertony.mon wrote:It's the correct bracket, but yopurs has been bent through 90 degrees. Bend it back up so that it looks like the one in Chris' picture.

If you look a secondhand engines on ebay the brackets are often bent at strange angles.
Alternatively it's because some previously had another bellypan and bent the bracket to fit.

Re: powerbronze lowers fitting question
Having another look at your photo Marty I think Tony could be right. It might be easier though to leave the bracket as it is (rather than risking it snapping off) and just fabricate a longer Powerbronze bracket. It's only really a piece of flat bar bent 90* with a twist in it (very easy to do in a vice) with a hole/slot in each end.
Chris.
