I dont wear ear plugs as they usually cut off to much of the surrounding noise and that makes me feel a bit antsy. I have been using a combonation of these NoiseHush Ns560 bluetooth earbuds with my android phone and in helmet speakers, it works perfectly and i can still hear the world around me...

I wear them and wouldn't fancy going without even tho I have a quiet helmet. you soon get used to them and they should protect your hearing.

I work permanent nights, I wear earplugs to sleep during the day I'm so used to them now that I sometimes wear them at the weekend because if not I hear every little noise and find it hard to get to sleep.

They are a must on a bike, I always take some spares in case I loose one whilst out. I used to go out on my gixer without them when I first passed my test and the constant wind noise used to make my ears feel as if they were bleeding. I agree with the comment about the isolation it helps you concentrate too.

I do now, didnt for a long time 30+ years but am sure helmets were quieter then, mate bought an Arai and couldnt get on with it, gave it to me "av it if it fits" great lid but really noisey, so ear plug time,
Bought a new Caberg recently and the wind noise is quite bad, but have got used to the plugs now and wouldnt ride without them anyway
