Thanks Tony, good to have some feedback on that. I will remember that in the future
Didn't think the price was too high either
To be fair nor do I.
I wont say how much I paid for mine. but the thing is, with the Harris sets because they are so rare they are fetching close to what they where when new now. Also Harris don't make them for the Storm any more which also increases their re-sale value. It's silly really because as an after thought IMO I think there are better options for less. I'm not saying they are not worth it, but If I had the option again I may go down the route of having some custom made. I think Harris are more about prestige and about keeping a standard Storm part/look.

More here but slightly better quality by the looks of it.

Tried these aftermarket ones, had some problems and so now I stick to honda originals.

I wouldn't want to have to do the job more than once, tbh, so would prefer to do it properly and pay a few pounds extra.
Yes I agree, there are certain parts for our bikes it doesn't pay to use after market parts. Paying Honda prices in the first place sometimes actually works out cheaper, and as Tony has mentioned saves extra work.

I always remember buying after market CV boots for my old mk3 Escort. Every year one at least would need replacing for the mot if not both. If anyone has ever fitted CV boots (for those who don't know, they are rubber covers sort of concertina and go over the universal drive shaft joint) you will know what a pita that job can be. I decided one year to buy the genuine parts from Ford. Come mot time next year they didn't need replacing to my joy :D

Not sure about value for money and all that, but found a rather good looking seat cover.. Non-slip and all, and you can choose the colours...

wonder how there are to fit :?:
Providing the front engine mounting bolt has not seized then it's not that difficult. Note though, you will need to drill the fairing on both sides of the bike, the same as I did for my R & G protectors.

Can someone explain to me how an item with a starting bid on it of £140 can have three bids on it and run to the completion of the auction, and be won for £140. Am I missing something??
It was the Harris rearsets that Carl listed the other day -

If it had only one bidder then that bidder has raised there bid .

That's the only way I know how that can happen

All three bids is the same person. It looks to me like the auction has just been ended early. That 140 could be the original seller. motorstorm will know.

Yes, cheers mate, that makes sense. Had a bit of conspiracy theory going on, but your explaination is a lot simpler!
