Good news about your battery. Pauline's RR had let go - acid corrosion on swingarm. But I put a CBR 125 one on, straight swap, even connector and bolt holes! Her batt seems fine. Fingers crossed...

Acid corrosion
that sounds gnarly!!
I'm glad to hear your CBR125 R/R is working well, I have ordered the same one
I've got my work cut out, if I'm going to make my camping/riding weekender next week

Clive if that acid is from the battery then it's either leaked from damage or boiled over from an overcharging R/R. Careful because if that battery is damaged and does not hold a charge then R/R will break down as it wont be able to regulate the amount going in the battery.Good news about your battery. Re: Another proud VTR owner, checking in!
Cheers, yeah I'll monitor it close. It may have been the old battery. It was dry inside the battery box, and round the battery case itself. I added a splash of water - but it can't have lost much as was then overfilled and dribbled out the plugs at the top when on charge. I've mopped the surplus up and will give it a blast today, and clean up after - I've only just got the fur off the swingarm! (Looks real shiny now)
Sad thing is Pauline's talking about changing it for a Bandit/Hornet as she says it's too difficult/lumpy to ride, gutted, I don't think we'll get anything as tidy for the money. :-(

What about sticking another firestorm v-twin into the frame and offset the timing... 2000cc V4! Smooth as silk!!

I was just reading in my "Classic Bike" about a guy who mated 2 Arial Arrow 250cc 2-strokes together to make 500cc 4 Cyl 2 stroke - 4 expansion chambers. Sweeeet, mental, but sweet!

Don't think the concept would be weird enough for Mr Millyard!! Why don't you paint P's bike blue, she might enjoy the bike more if it didn't look like an Essex bird heading to the Sugarhut!!!
