Thanks for your reply, was talking to the guy from pfm in the isle of man in august, the discs he sells though are a bit expensive but he would give me free pads, not sure about spending that much though, i suppose you have to pay for the best.

Re: Front Discs
Yep the pfm are top money but are great personally I'd love a set on the race bike (I just might get some) if I can get a good deal when it's time .

Been trying to ring for a quote, maybe shut now

Re: Front Discs
Hi
Had same problem myself. 1 disc. Brought a pair off the forum. Tested & fitted all ok.
You are quite welcome to my old discs. I can have them tested & give run out reading.
I work in coventry if pick up from there is easier.

Thanks for your offer, i'm waiting for a friend to get back to me, but if they can't help i will get back to you soon as, on my failure certificate it says excessive run out (3.2A1m), if anyone knows what that means?bsabloke wrote:Hi

Re: Front Discs
According to the workshop manual. Maximum runout 0.3mm or 0.012 in real money.
I had my replacements tested 0.006 & 0.004. Totally changed feel of the brakes. Old discs you could feel it on the lever at light braking & 1 side pads were half thickness of the others. I will get discs tested at work (some trick test equipment). Only any good to you if within tolerance.

Re: Front Discs
buying new saves the hassle
and if u think about it its ur life end a day and crap discs=brake failure ....result more cash down the road
so just save and buy new simples
