Axle nut size

Post by Virt »

Haven't got anything the right size to fit over the rear axle nut. What size is it so I can get the right socket? Thanks :)

hey virt , do you have a torque wrench? I believe its quite important not to overtighten it .

Yeah we have plenty of torque wrenches. As long as it's less than 300Nm

Thanks Mac  figured it was about 27 or 28

Yep. You were right, 22-27 and 93. All done now. Thanks a lot

The Haynes book of false truths had the torque, just not the nut sizes

Chain was a little bit slack, so I adjusted it, cleaned it and lubed it up.

Virt if you don't have a socket then you will have a spanner and a little extension handle in the Honda toolkit, you can use that. Use your bodyweight (foot) on the spanner/extension handle to undo and do up the nut.
