atleast if i make this working, i would get a warning saying its time for fuel

Re: fuel light
I was merely trying to eliminate an inoperative warning light mate! If the light works using the method shown then the next thing to check would be the tank senderfiero wrote:but mate i wanted to actually work, as one day i stopped in middle due to no fuelWatty wrote:fiero wrote:hey mate could you please refer the below image and let me know what i should really do to make the reserve fuel indicator to work, thanks

Re: fuel light
Yes eliminate the light/instrument cluster first before replacing the sender unit. Disconnect the connector plug as Watty said and short the two wires together to see if the light comes on. There are some other tests you can do depending on the result. Have a look at section 19 in the Honda workshop manual.

now need to remove the tank and check the sender for any wire cut or loose connection.
