Re: Glad I pulled the Back End Off the Bike
Thanks Guys for the input and advice on Part #s.
A couple more bits of advice I need if that's ok.
On the Rod Collar that goes through the rear of the dogbone -- the bolt that goes through there is a loose fit and allows some play/movement (0.034"). The other items in the rear link are attached securely with the socket head bolts which prevents the Rod Collars from moving. But not so with this one and the Rod Collar is a loose fit in the swing arm bracket - so when this hex bolt is tighten up with its corresponding nut the collar is not clamped tightly between two plates so when the suspension moves up and down the collar rotates on the bolt and stays put inside the bearing. So the bearing is not doing any work at all. Hope this makes sense.
The other thing I found odd was the way this rear link (dogbone and swingarm bracket) are held in place. The socket heads on the bolts just sits/locates in a hole in an alloy plate bolted to the motor. The socket head pushes on one end of the collar so the other end pushes up hard on the plate on the other side. Seems a weird way to locate something like this.
Thought I would buy all the bits I need from David Silver to make things easier. That way they will all arrive at the same time.
