Re: Ted's 'storm resto
Agree no Hydraulic tensioners on VTR's. That must some kine of generalised instructions. I don't know as I not read them.

i turned mine over about 200 times before i pressed the start button, i was "cacking" myself. it started a treat, ran lovely and after 7000 miles haven't adjusted it once.Ted77 wrote:Well, I've fitted them!! Is the Kitchen in the Garage or Garage in the Kitchen.
I see you have plastic end cap missing on the front faring bracket/stay. Check you still have the balance weights inside the tubes where the mirrors attach. They help reduce vibrations.

The garage has my sisters old kitchen units in it as my work bench!
And I just went and checked the bracket - both end caps are there
...just the photo makes it look like one is missing!!!

Re: Ted's 'storm resto
Work got in the way yesterday, but I have just ordered up a set of K-Tech springs to go in the front end when I change the seals/oil over!
Re: Ted's 'storm resto
Been busy cracking on, so not really been on here all that much.
Rear line fitted:

New springs, oil & seals done:

Old crappy springs:

Fairing bracket painted and back on:

Master cylinder bracket painted:

Fitting things back together:

And what she looks like now!

Just lower fairing to go on, and a bar end to get (if anyone has a spare + bolt, let me know!!) and then an MOT at the end of the week!!
Think it must be time for a beer!
Cheers for all your help
