The caliper to disc is 2-2.5mm on the inside of both
the track one is about 1.5mm each side on the inside but has the disc spacers on as the double yoke on later cbr900 is slightly wider?

Re: Cbr900 fork conversion
Ive done over 500 miles with the bike together to test out the front end im now stuck with three issues
1) brakes are okay but dont feel stable no my idea is i swapped to wavy discs six months ago and since the conversion i have noticed the pads have made a different line on the discs and this is where the wavy bit is which im going to test my thoery by swapping the wheel for another with a different set on to see if this changes things
2) right hand bends i seem to get a slight vibe through the steering its slightly odd may be tyre or wheel balance again like above see what the difference is
3) vibe through steering at high speed again wheel balance
My thoughts so far its nice that you dont bottom out the forks any more and you feel the road surface better now the turn in seems to be a lot sharper and gives a bit more confidence hopefullt once ive found the reasons above il be happy

Re: Cbr900 fork conversion
Could not find the thread i had originally posted in but any way
After doing a load of research on the conversion i am doing i have found that the 98 cbr900 forks i have dont swap with the original discs as the 98 cbr900 had bigger discs 310mm and not the 294mm that the storm has fitted and the pre 98 cbr900 discs were the same size but different drill pattern.
So am i right in thinking i will need to get a set of cbr900 discs 98-99 originals or after market and have these drilled to match the storm hole pattern and may have to get some sort of bracket to go over the disc to keep them central on the wheel
