Best/easiest place to get at 12v under the seat...

...apart from the obvious place as I only want it (not much current required) when the ignition is on.
History: Honda C70, CG125, CX500, CB750F, VF750F, Suzuki GSX750, red Honda VTR1000F, Yamaha XV1100, Vmax, yellow VTR1000F.

The feed to the rear brake light is 12v when the ignition is on, it's right beside the battery

Yep that's where I spliced my fuel pump into :-) and sat nav

Yep that's where I spliced my fuel pump into :-) and sat nav
For my switched fuse box, I spliced into my side light s oI can turn the power off whilst the bike is still running.

But at least I can say that I get 130 miles before the reserve light comes on from a 16lt tank :)

Why splice into an existing wire, it's not as if the battery or fusebox is inaccessible under the seat. :confused Personally I would be looking at piggy backing off one of the circuits via the fusebox. It may even be worth getting a permanent and an accessory feed and run it through another box. http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... ox#p364691 ready for any other future modifications/accessories. Whatever you do, don't forget the fuse, whether it's inline or run through a box.
