Use it as a starting point and adjust to your taste. As the Storms suspension was done on a budget there's no 'perfect' setting for all riders in all conditions.

Agreed. Start from there, adjust one way, see if it feels better, if not try going the other way, see if it feels better, etc.
After a while you either get bored playing and just ride it like it is or make suspension improvements.
Check tyre pressures and check/lube bearings (headstock as well as the rear shock linkage) before you start, it's a pointless exercise otherwise.
Lastly, unless you know it's been replaced within the last two years, drain and replace the fork oil before you start playing.
