Good suspension settings for 98kg/216lbs rider?

Post by SKMXL »

Hi!

Anyone have an idea for a good setup for my stock suspension?

My weight is 216lbs / 98 kg.

Changing the suspension is not a option before next winter season.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Is that the best settings? Doesn't it depend of the weight of the rider?

Use it as a starting point and adjust to your taste. As the Storms suspension was done on a budget there's no 'perfect' setting for all riders in all conditions.

Agreed. Start from there, adjust one way, see if it feels better, if not try going the other way, see if it feels better, etc.
After a while you either get bored playing and just ride it like it is or make suspension improvements.

Check tyre pressures and check/lube bearings (headstock as well as the rear shock linkage) before you start, it's a pointless exercise otherwise.
Lastly, unless you know it's been replaced within the last two years, drain and replace the fork oil before you start playing.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
