My mistake - they're 100 Euro a pair delivered. I guess 'very roughly £100' is a stretch there.Wicky wrote:Bazza de Essex

Where did you get that they were £100 a pair?

From what I've gathered in the last few days, you have your Kreiger and Ape tensionsers for very roughly around £100 a pair, then you have the Chinese anodised ones on ebay for £45 -£60, and then there are people who come and go on the forums making batches now and then? Could anyone recommend the best place to buy tensioners at the moment?

Ade it's not Tony Its me that has an issue & it's not with the CCT's , it's that is you are a vulture who only appears to post when snipping business when someone wants CCT's...Oh & the copied fitting instructions that you copied from here... & you dont give out gaskets with them...How cheap is that ?... Even your smarmy tone in the quoted post.adewhitmarsh wrote:Tony.mon & watty seem to have a problem with my manual ccts ?well I have 100% happy customers so something must be right.![]()
Now I have a set of yours, bought off the bay very cheaply from some one who bought a set & then sold the bike without fitting...Cost me less than £25 IIRC...I also have a set of Krigers & a set of Bazza converts (2nd set BTW)...In my opinion no difference fitting, easy of use between yours & Krigers....Except Bazza converts use a roll pin on the top nut so you dont need the locking nut.
Now if you joined in more with the forum as a whole I may have a bit more respect for you...but you dont join in you just snipe...Earn the respect.
If it was down to me I would have barred you long ago....

Reply all you want in trying to defend yourself...I will refrain from reading any of your future posts because I have far better things to be doing with my time.

+1. Join in NOT just to sell! I can't have a problem with your CCT's as I haven't seen them!MacV2 wrote:Ade it's not Tony Its me that has an issue & it's not with the CCT's , it's that is you are a vulture who only appears to post when snipping business when someone wants CCT's...Oh & the copied fitting instructions that you copied from here... & you dont give out gaskets with them...How cheap is that ?... For your information I do reply to other posts & talk to other members about various issues .If you wish to get me band from the forum that's fine,i use Facebook most of the time with no problems or issues.i have a lot of forum members contacting me on a daliy bases about manual ccts, supply & fitting issues which I do my best to help.i can supply gaskets but at £5-£6.00 for 2 from MR HONDA it seems a bit expensive. Thanks for your comments I will try not to post on forum and upset other jealous members who have issues with my postings.

Out of interest I took a brief look through your post history and I can see no more than 10 posts that aren't related to CCT's, that's not an exact figure and some of those were you asking for info so even less replies.. I don't have a problem at all with you or your CCT's but you don't contribute and it's very clear you are only here to sell your CCT's..
Many other forums will allow this if you "sponsor" them, ie pay to sell your CCT's, this forum is Kind, it doesn't ask for contributions although it could, and it doesn't put restrictions on sellers (50 post count rule excepted). I don't know the answer.. I will admit if I was a mod I would have had a word some time ago about the fact you come on here just to sell. I think I would suggest a limit of 1 post per month relating to you CCT's, that post could be a reply or an advert. There's a FB page I go on that operates like that for business sellers, it works and it's fair for everyone.
Lots of people have bought and fitted yours and when questions are asked they will do your sales for you, you don't need to be jumping on all CCT related posts, you'll still get your business. Anyway I'm not a mod so it's just my view/idea of how to help make things fairer and relieve some of the resentment from others.
I asked permission to sell stuff on here but in general I chose not to as it's more of a leisure site for me although I will sell and offer my services from time to time, but you know If someone in my area asked for help It's a pretty safe bet that the guys on here would send them in my direction before I even saw the post, that's the kind of place this is when you join in

Re: Where to buy Cam Chain Tensioners ATM
my pov for what it's worth. firstly I have to say I've purchased a few sets of mcct's from ade, and they've been spot on, first class service, not sure if ade is using carl's mcct's fitting write up. if so I find that out of order, but as i'm not sure if he does this, so I can't really pass judgement.
as for joining in with other discussions that are non cct related, and generally being an active member of what I feel is the most friendly forum I've ever been involved with. well after a brief skim of your postings, i'd say your only here to sell your product and very little else. if that offends then so be it, other members have made very valid points, and I agree with pretty much all of what malc said.
I hope you have a better understanding of what some of us feel about why you are on the forum. there's no personal attacks, it's just what we feel.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I hope you become a much more active member on non cct related posts.

I wouldn't normally comment on a post like this because I'm new here.
However the above comment says to me that you couldn't really care less about the feedback you are given. I got your mccts and I was pretty happy with them. It was just a purchase for me and I found you helpful. From what I gather no one here has a problem with you selling your product. They would just prefer you were an actual member if this forum. But it seems that doesn't interest you. It's a forum with a sales section. It's not a sales site with a forum.
I think you should take people's opinions on board instead of being childish about it. All grown ups here.....well mist of us.
If you don't try you never know if you can do it.

As members have said ,they don't have a problem with you selling them .its the way you go about it especially on here .adewhitmarsh wrote:So that's 4 members who have a problem with me selling mccts, whats still 96% are happy.
I have recommended people to you many times as I know you have them in stock and you offer a good service .
Just wish you would re-think how you pitch them as you would get more Sales and more recommendations if you did it in a better way .
Enjoy life that's why we're here .
