If it just cut out when riding could be the R/R has failed. Did the clocks ''die'' before the cut out ? Any other symptoms before death ?

Try jump starting it. Mine started on a jump but then went again after a few miles, the jump only puts so much electrickery in the batt, which soon goes if not being replaced.

When I got it home batt was showing 11. 5 volts, changed the R/R, swapped the batt. fired up first prod, no issues since.
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Does it turn over. Could be a loose battery connection.
